I'm unable to update Adobe Reader v 11.0.10 to the latest version on Mac OS X 10.8.5. I have gone to Adobe's website: https://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/ and tried to update Adobe Reader DC while following all the instructions on the adobe.com help menu. I go through all the steps listed on the help menu, and at the end of the installation, adobe.com says that the installation was successful. However, I know the installation must have failed because when I go to FireFox check plugins, FF indicates that my Adobe Reader plugin is vulnerable ('Status') and says under 'Action' that I should update it now. Here is the link to the FF page where I check my plugins: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/?utm_source=firefox-browser&utm_medium=firefox-browser&utm_campaign=plugincheck-update .On Adobe's website I noticed that my exact operating system 10.8.5 is not included in the drop down menu, so I chose Mac OS Intel 10.8. I'm unsure if Adobe Reader's update failure is due to adobe.com's lack of an update for Mac OS Intel 10.8.5.
